When it comes to creating personalised metal signs, we believe that waterjet cutting can create any design in the most time efficient way.
At Australian Waterjet Cutting, our Brisbane northside team uses high-tech machinery made by Flow International USA, which can be programmed to achieve a fully custom design.
The method of waterjet cutting produces smooth and neat lines, plus it’s more environmentally friendly compared to other metal cutting or processing methods.
We have been entrusted on many occasions to create commemorative metal signs for RSLs, community organisations and sporting groups, and always take great care when reconstructing any pieces which honour fallen Australian soldiers.
Reconstructing Commemorative Metal Signs
Australian Waterjet Cutting reconstructed two (2) metal signs for the Queensland Rifle Association, which were dedicated on Anzac Day.
The first of those was a crossed rifles badge, and the second badge displayed the words: “The Great War 1914-1918”.
Both of these commemorative signs were constructed out of Powder Coated Aluminium.
Our recreated badges were copied from the original pieces and everyone was happy with the final result.
Here’s what our client had to say…
On Anzac Day, the two memorial gate badges, which were manufactured by your firms, were consecrated at the Armistice Centenary War Memorial situated in Belmont Shooting Complex.
The above could not have been achieved without your respective interest and willingness to achieve a successful outcome. For that I thank you.
John “Johnno” Johnstone OAM said.
Custom Metal Badge: Our Rebuilding Process
With this project, we recreated the two memorial badges that had already been at the facility entry for years.
Step 1: We were contacted by Chalkos Fine Art Foundry c/o the Queensland Rifle Association who briefed us on the project requirements.
Step 2: Custom designs were created from the images of the orginals.
Step 3: The final badges were manufactured using our state-of-the-art waterjet cutting machinery, and together with the stunning bronze casting from Chalkos Art Foundry, the final creations were beautiful.
